Current studies on the subject of active sitting in schools are the basis for the special design of PRO. The key question is: ‘How can furniture support children’s readiness to learn?’ Today, we know that ‘active, dynamic sitting’ supports concentration. In other words: it encourages the freedom of movement. ‘Children learn best when they are allowed to move around – they require the opposite of sitting still. Our seat shell is based on these current findings. For example, it has a round seat that allows movement in all directions. The rather narrow seat back allows movement to the sides. Due to its flexibility and s-shaped swing, it gives an excellent support at all times – even when you lean back.
