As one of the first cantilever chairs made of high-quality plastic, formed in just one process, the chair was initially considered a novelty. Series production of the "Horn Collection for lively living" in the colors orange, black, light gray and brown followed shortly afterwards. Since the chair was very popular in both the east and west of the country, it is still considered a classic of the 20th century today.

The seat shell and backrest are softly molded and, together with the runner-shaped legs, are not only a visual eye-catcher, but also meet the high demands of ergonomics.

Due to the elaborately painted surface, the cantilever chair can be used in a variety of ways; both indoors such as the kitchen/dining area, bathroom and office, as well as outdoors on roof terraces, in the garden or by the pool. This classic fits everywhere!

Ernst Moeckl

The recognized product designer with a degree from the Ulm School of Design, which is considered one of the largest institutions in the history of German product design in the 20th century, subsequently founded his own company. For example, he also designed the well-known "Ulmer Klinke" (together with Max Bill) and the menu cutlery set.

He received an award from the Design Center Stuttgart in 1979 for the Z.stuhl.

His works can now be found in the Pinakothek in Munich, for example.

Ernst Moeckl died on June 15, 2013 in a small town in the Stuttgart region.
