Gufram Chair DETECMA

Detecma is an acronym for design, Technique and Mathematics. These three values were united for the first time in 1967 by the Italian physicist Tullio Regge, one of the most influential scientific thinkers of the XX century. For Gufram Professor Regge transformed, aided by the computers at Princeton University, a mathematical equation into a volume with intentionally ergonomic characteristics. That’s how Detecma was born – a non-conventional seat that proves to be the first product in the history of design to be realized with the help of computers. Poyurethane foam, available in six colours, removable cover, Ø 105 h 30 / 58 cm, 14 kg.
